I like a boy who thinks he is smarter than me but actually isn't.
I find delight in showing a boy just how much brain I actually have and it is fun to match wits with them. It is better when they appreciate your intelligence and also enjoy matching wits with you. I do NOT like boys who think they are smarter than me and do NOT recognize that I am NOT stupid.
Sometimes in that case I am tempted to show them up...but, there wouldn't really be much point or fun in it.
It is enough for me to know that I could if I wanted to. ;)
The best fun is a smart boy who thinks he's dealing with another "dumb" girl only to see in a short period of time...heyyyyyyy this one can actually have a conversation! The look on their faces is priceless!
{Post: 319/365 Original Post: Burgers, Boys & BEER} On Oct. 29th this year we had a Halloween party and it was a good time! I tried a few new recipes and they seemed to be a hit!
Core tomatoes with a carrot peeler or knife. Drain excess tomato juice. Using a butter knife, fill holes in tomatoes with cream cheese. Give each "pimple" a gentle squeeze and arrange on a platter.
BLOODY BUG JUICE 24 oz frozen strawberries, thawed 6 oz lemonade, frozen concentrate 1 quart ginger ale 1 cup raisins 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen Place the strawberries in a bowl and mash with a fork. In a large pitcher, mix the strawberry mash, lemonade and ginger ale. Place handfuls of raisins and blueberries (bugs) into tall glasses. Pour the liquid over the bugs, then sit back and watch the bugs and scum rise to the top of each glass. To quench a creepy crowd's thirst, double or triple this recipe and serve in a punch bowl. Drape some gummy worms over the rim of your bowl for a particularly swampy-looking effect!
Of course we had chips & dip and some of the other usual party snacks but we had a great time too! :)

Well we're getting spit on a bit but we're saying NO rain!!
The boys have been playing in the river and having a good morning.
We had our taco salads for lunch and they were a hit!! The
Boys all ate 2 each...I only had one and that was good enough for me!
Now they are enjoying snacks and deciding if they wanna swim anymore...
They worry about rain!! Lol
I'm trying to read duma key but they ask me questions every five minutes
Which makes it VERY hard to read!! Lol

☺Having a great time already with Gib & Josh!
They've put up their tent, been swimming in the river,
Gone for a short walk to explore along the river, ridden
Their bikes, played badminton, had sandwiches and fritos for supper,
And are now getting ready to make smores in the fire...but,
We're waiting for it to get going good! ;)
Ill post pics after I get back home because I'm not sure
How to do it from here yet!

Happy 40th Birthday Hubby!
I hope you will enjoy your Conan episodes streamed from laptop to tv and everyone coming next Saturday to celebrate your birthday with you at Wabora's hibachi tables.
Life begins at 40 and so will ours! xo
French Proverb
Forty is the old age of youth; fifty is the youth of old age.
“Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had, and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.”
Just a recap of the 30 Day What I like About Boys challenge: I like boys who: 1 are FUN 2 are SWEET 3 are SMART 4 are STRONG 5 Smell good 6 Fight with me for fun 7 Listen to me 8 Defend my honour 9 Got MY back 10 have pretty EYES 11 have a lovely SMILE 12 Tell the Truth 13 are a good uncle, brother, son 14 Love his mom 15 are Cool 16 Laugh a lot and are funny 17 Encourage me 18 Support me 19 Understand me 20 have hands bigger than mine 21 give Strong Hugs 22 Make me feel safe-physically and emotionally 23 speak nice words instead of crude because I deserve that ;) 24 share his jacket/sweater with me 25 have long hair (or short, or none is cool too) 26 don't like seeing me cry and so try tomake me laugh to cheer me up 27 value my opinion 28 can BE my rock 29 believe in me 30 think they are smarter than me and find out...maybe not so much! ;) lol awwwwww really what is NOT to love about boys?
There is nothing in the world like a boy who BELIEVES in ME.
He will be unfailingly supportive, encouraging, helpful and ON MY SIDE!
A boy like this makes it much easier to CONTINUE to believe in myself...especially during times when self-doubt can creep in. It is the best thing in the world to know that you have a secondary person to keep your dreams and goals on track!
Sometimes I am emotional and fragile and it helps to have a boy around who I know is strong and capable of keeping me steady. I am capable of taking care of myself but life is much easier when another person can help share the load.
A boy who appreciates and values a woman for more than the package she comes in is an awesome boy. A woman has a brain and talents and capabilities that need to be supported, nurtured and encouraged and the boy who knows and does this is definitely one worth having as a friend!
I like boys with LONG HAIR! lol But, really I must also admit I like short hair as well and also no hair at all is sexy too! All boys have something attractive about them but yeah, I like the rock star hair the best!!
I do not just mean because he's a big, strong guy and can kick ass either! lol
I mean a boy who feels like a safe haven, feels like home, feels like the person you can trust with all your weaknesses and imperfections and flaws and know that they will not judge you or laugh at your insecurities but rather hold the fragile parts of you safely and gently.
That is a safe haven you can learn to stretch your wings from and then FLY!
I like a boy who gives STRONG HUGS. There is nothing in the world like being hugged by your boy and feeling safe and sheltered in his arms. :)
(Pretty much I love hugs from everybody!) However, I appreciate boys hugs because sometimes the give you a great big crushing bear hug and you think they might even break you but, it just makes you breathless and feeling LOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have boy wrists. I have bigger hands than most girls because I'm a big girl.
Never been a dainty little miss and never going to be so in some strange and ridiculous way a man with hands that are bigger and allow mine to fit INTO them make me feel...a little more dainty, a little more safe, a little more protected. I don't know why this is such an important thing to me and/or if it really makes me a complete nutbar but I really LIKE the idea of a man being bigger and stronger and my protector. I don't really NEED it but, it is a nice feeling to have someone who makes me feel it. :)
I like a boy who is SUPPORTS me mentally, emotionally, spiritually and whatever other ways it is possible.
I am very strong but sometimes I can be weak and low and fragile just like anyone else. It is at these times I want the SUPPORT and understanding that my boys give me.
There is nothing in the world like knowing your husband, your sons, your friends are with you and support you throughout whatever trials come your way!
I like a boy with a positive attitude who ENCOURAGES me to LOVE myself, BE myself and be MORE and BETTER every day. I have met many boys like this who listen and encourage me to follow my dreams and desires whatever they may be. They tell me they believe in me and I should believe in myself.
It is wonderful to have ANYONE behind you and encouraging you to try, to grow, to learn and to go forward in life and I appreciate each and every one of them.
