why is it

that the

images I see

in my mind

can never be set to paper

or done the justice

they deserve

how wonderful 

it would be

if i could describe

what I see

and someone 

far more talented

could paint

or draw

or create

the images

in my mind

Paint

or not to paint

is the big

question

it has been

a long time

since I

lifted a brush

to paint on canvas

long since

I became a mother

and my energy

went to raising my children

my youngest

is now old enough to know

NOT to touch

drying paint 

and hubby says

I should try again

because it used to 

bring me JOY

maybe

I will paint
