Don't Let LIFE Get You Down

 ONE DAY AT A TIME!

So...I suck at being regular and consistent with my writing and  blogging. I DO let my health get in my way. However, living one day at a time and using your energy when you have it to use is a good idea. It's taken me a long time to figure that out. I am working daily, I'm just not sharing any of it. I'm working on a book series and have been for a long time. I'm in the middle of world building because I can't write stories in a world if I don't KNOW how it works or why. BUT I am far too ambitious! I am building a world inside a world and many different portals to other worlds! Worlds in worlds in worlds lol! WHO knows if I am even capable of sharing the story but I'm falling in love with the characters so all I can say is hope and wish me well! One day at a time, one word at a time...and one day we will get there!

well I have been neglecting my blogs and this one especially and just have so much going on right now
I'm waiting to have my pd catheter put in to prepare for dialysis and trying not to stress and worry but it's hard...I'm not sure when I will get back to writing but hopefully soon...my mind is everywhere and has no real focus...

Jan. 5, 2014

A few days ago my friend asked the question Who are YOU? in his status message and I replied:
a cinnamon candy heart :p lol because I was being silly and wanted a laugh ;)
however the answer to this question is not really that simple because I am many, many things.
So I decided to write a poem about it and it can be found HERE.

Jan. 3, 2014

Not home today so I'm late with a post but it is my choice to correct that immediately by writing a quick poem about my cats:

have you ever
taken a moment
to look deep
into the soulful feline eyes
of your furry friend?

have you ever
taken the time
to wonder
at the thoughts and emotions
these eyes hold?

have you ever
taken the time
to recognize
which look expresses
the clearest emotion?

it is not always a look
sometimes
it is a tail twitch
or flattened ears
to signify irritation...

but have you seen
the eyes that speak
of empty food dishes
or water bowls
or the desire to go OUT?

and have you noticed
the sweet
contented eyes
of a feline friend
hopelessly and unfailingly
in love with your cuddles?

and what about
the eyes of disdain
that scoff
with a secret smile
and derision for your idiocy?

but my favourite
eyes of all
are the ones I see
when I have been away
and then return
and have so obviously been missed

or the sweet loving ones
given as a gift
along with companionship
understanding
and commiseration in my sickbed

indeed
the most beautiful
eyes of all
are three pairs turned on me
from the foot of my bed
when I am sad or in pain
and I am LOVED.

Jan. 1, 2014

It is a brand new year! Happy New Year to you!
I would like to continue 365 posts but I have found that I am NOT very good at staying regular with that so instead I suggest that I WILL try to continue in this blog with sharing new writing posts from here, there and everywhere that I write, blog or share on the web.
Hopefully, I can share a whole years worth this way but if not at least I can try to be regular!

I begin with a list of goals for 2014:

  • write something...DAILY
  • work on my book series
  • work on a PKD book
  • write children's books
  • work on fixing parts of the house that need fixing
  • try to manage my health better
  • try to remember all that I AM...
