Morning Cup

of all the morning drinks

that one can drink

and I do enjoy

orange juice

apple juice

milk

tea

and even

lemon water

none of them quite has

the KICK

the juice

the VERVE

if you will

of my morning COFFEE

I try to give it up

for healthier choices

and eventually

I give in

because I miss

the taste

the comfort

and the routine

of meds, breakfast and

a morning cup of coffee!
