A Moment

there is a moment

sometimes fleeting

when I feel

the connection

of your soul to mine

your heart to mine

and our minds

on the same page

if I wasn't waiting

for that moment

and hoping

for it

I might miss it

and NOT feel 

the beginning

of our strong connection

of the friendship we are building

of the treasure we are sharing

and THAT would be a shame

because

in that moment

your love and admiration

and openness to me 

makes my soul
