{Post 14/365: Original Post: I AM a QUEEN}
Being a queen is not a power trip.
It is not that you have a boy and CAN or will or do crack the whip and make him do everything you want.
It is not that you can or should think YOU are queen of the castle and therefore he should kneel at your feet but, that you are strong enough and capable enough to stand equally with him.
It is rather that you have the dignity and strength to respect yourself.
It IS that you can choose for yourself.
It is that there is NOT a Lord of the Manor to whom you are servant but, that you stand your own ground for whatever it is that is important to you or that you believe in.
Being a queen is in the way you carry yourself.
If you behave like a spoiled rotten princess who always gets her way or has fits to get what she wants then you will never be seen as a queen.
A queen will understand compromise, self-sacrifice, compassion and maturity.
A queen will allow and accept that not everything goes her own way and sometimes that IS to the betterment of all.
It requires work and strength and understanding to be a queen.
It requires patience and compassion for others.
It is one thing to know a boy is yours and will follow you to the end of the earth and back and do anything for you...anything you want...sometimes you want to TEST him...but, a QUEEN will not. She will know and understand all that he offers and respect that it comes from his heart, therefore is a gift and a privilege...not something she has a RIGHT to EXPECT.
Just because she is a queen doesn't mean she is better or not also just human.
It only means she respects herself and expects others to do the same.
I hope to be the best queen I can be
