Secrets

{Post: 247/365}
is it the kind
of secret
that makes you
jump up and down
jiggle
and
wiggle
and think to yourself
(in a happy, bubbly
sing-song sort of way)
I-know-something-you-don't-know!
OR
is it the kind
of secret
that makes your heart
ache and moan
with hurt
and
indecision
your teeth clench
and you think
I-know-something-I-should-tell-you-but-I-can't!
OR
is it the kind
of secret
that swells your heart
with pride
and
honour
because your friend
trusted-YOU-enough-to-KEEP-it-for-them
and you WILL
is it the kind
of secret
that is
so good
or
so bad
that sometimes
you-wish-they-never-told-you-because-you can-barely-hold-it-in

I have dignity because I respect myself.
I have pride because I am aware of myself and the respect I deserve.
I have decency because I allow that OTHERS have dignity and pride in themselves.
I have compassion because I understand that many do NOT and I wish to help them find themselves and their own self worth, self respect, dignity, pride, decency and compassion.
In this way we can help each other build ourselves better and stronger in order that SOMEDAY we will ALL have dignity, pride, decency and compassion.
I think then the world will be a better place.
