The POWER

{Post 71/365: Original Post: I AM LOVE}

Leo Buscaglia~Kindness Quotations
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

You never know when something you have said or done has made all the difference in someone else's life so it is important to live a life with honesty, integrity, kindness, compassion and understanding for other people from all walks of life.
Try not to judge because unless you have walked a mile in their shoes and experienced all the aspects of their life experience you may not truly understand the place they are coming from.
Sometimes the grouchiest people are only getting YOU before you get THEM and it is the only way they know to keep all the people they can't trust at arms length.  Sadly that sometimes also keeps the people they may be able to trust , or who may be able to change their lives with one small touch or word or act of caring at arms length also.
Remember, some people build walls to keep people out but, sometimes they build those walls to see who cares enough to get past them, around them, through them.

We should all strive to be people who break down walls...gently. :)

GIVE

{Post 53/365: Original Post: MysticLOVEAngel}

John D. Rockefeller, Jr.~
Giving is the secret of a healthy life. Not necessarily money, but whatever a person has of encouragement, sympathy and understanding.

I often chat a lot of people online.
Some of them are people who want something.  Well actually most of them want SOMETHING.  I have often said, (because I am POOR in money) that if they want to get money or things from me they are definitely SOL but, if they want anything from heart, mind or spirit that is all I have to give and I am perfectly willing to give it.  Usually, I reserve the right to with- hold the deepest giving for people who actually EARN my trust by also giving of themselves.  Then we enter into a healthy, mutually benificial,  relationsip. A connection of heart and mind and spirit.
It is really the only way to bond and trust and grow with a person.
Many of these people come and go like time and season.
Sometimes they learn from me.
Sometimes I learn from them.
Sometimes we both learn from each other.
Whichever kind of relationship we do begin in the beginning, you can be sure by the end one or both of us is better from having had the experience.
I live for that.
I love to learn about you.  Who you are, what you want, what you dream, what you like, what you hate, what you NEED, how you feel, where you think you are going, where you are ACTUALLY going, where you WANT to be going, if you recognize yourself in me, if you recognize yourself in yourself, if you believe in yourself, if you are happy or sad, what would help you be happy or sad and IF I can help with ANY of these things, then I will.  If I can't help, then I offer my heart to feel for you and my ear to hear and listen to you.
If that is not enough then perhaps I am the wrong person for you.
I certainly hope my offer of heart and mind and spirit IS truly enough for it is all I really have to offer.  Except for,  my TIME.  I will offer you my time and I hope that you will never think it a waste of yours.

LOVE Everywhere

{Post 26/365: Original Post: I AM LOVE}

Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.
~Mother Teresa

It is easy to love the people we love and much more difficult to love the "OTHER" people...lol
I want to try to be better at loving the ones who are more difficult to love.
The ones who come at the world already on the defensive OR already on the attack.
The ones who are trying to "get them...before they get me"!
The ones who put on a gruff exterior and grumpy face or attitude to hide the fact that they are sad and lonely and unloved, and that they need to be wanted and understood and heard as well.
The ones who combat the world and all in it aggressively because they hunger deeply for a soft touch, for a gentle word, for a friend.
The ones who are lost and broken and alone.

WE are all these people at one time or another ourselves.
Since WE know how hard it is to heal ourselves, BY ourselves, then we should always aspire to help anyone who is following behind us with a hand up or an encouragement.
SOMETIMES, that makes all the difference!!
