the power

of a touch,

a smile,

a kind word,

a listening ear,

something you have said

or done

has made all the difference

some people build walls

to keep people out

sometimes they build walls

to see who cares enough

to get past them,

around them,

through them.

We should strive

to be people

who break down walls...

gently.
