In honour of International Women's Day (yesterday).
every woman
has an aspect of herself
she doesn't like
and yet
every woman
holds within herself
the
beautiful and
vivacious spirit
of a goddess
every woman can be weak
and find beyond herself
the strength she didn't know she had
because
every woman
holds within herself
a
deep
vibrant
and meaningful
power
every woman can be selfish
but find inside herself
the ability to give
every last thing she has
because
every woman
holds within herself
a gift
of love and nurturing
to share
every woman can be broken
and still find inside herself
the strength to get back up
and carry on
because
every woman IS
ALL
that she ever needs
inside herself
every woman
holds within herself
the loving and reverant spirit
of venus
the virtue
and sacredness
of love
every woman
holds within herself
the great mother goddess
of isis
a heart of
love and compassion,
tenderness and devotion
and
every woman
holds within herself
the sensuality and sexuality
of aphrodite
the power
to tempt and tantalize
and
seduce
every woman can be a princess
wanting what she wants
RIGHT NOW
and instead choose
to sacrifice her own needs
because
every woman
holds within herself
the dignity
and nobility
of a queen.
every woman
is in truth
a nurturing mother
a faithful sister
a tempting seductress
a sensual lover
a spoiled princess
a beautiful goddess
and a queen
she need only see the truth inside herself

MUSIC I LOVE: Sweater Song~Hedley
{Post 65/365: Original Post: Reading, Writing & Rocking MY World}
She said, "Baby, don't leave.
Be home, stay close, be close to me.
Boy, don't be gone. Boy, don't be gone."
He said, "Baby, you know,
I gotta run. I gotta go.
I won't be long. Girl, I won't be long."
She said, "Boy don't you flirt
and, baby, please just don't get hurt
and if you feel alone, then here, take my shirt."
He said, "Forever, girl. I know you hate the weather, girl.
So, maybe you should hold onto my sweater, girl."
Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na
She ran, picked up the phone,
said, "Babe, I miss you. Come back home.
It can't be long. Boy, it can't be long."
He said, "I hate this place.
I miss your smile. I miss your face.
I wrote a song. Girl, I wrote a song."
She said, "You make me better, boy.
I just mailed you a letter, boy
and, oh, so you know, I'm still in your sweater, boy."
He said, "Girl, don't be hurt.
I've sweat a lot and smell of dirt,
But I think I'd feel naked without your shirt."
Na na na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na na
He said, "You're looking great.
I'm home. I'm back. I couldn't wait.
Girl, way too long. That was way too long."
She said, "Get over here.
I crave you close. I need you near.
Now play that song. Boy, play me our song."
He said, "Back to forever, girl.
Hope you endured the weather, girl.
Now all I wanna do is get you outta that sweater, girl."
She said, "I love the way you flirt.
I'm so glad you didn't get hurt.
Now let me see you naked, without that shirt."[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/h/hedley-lyrics/the-sweater-song-lyrics.html ]

I LOVE this song! The first time I heard it I thought of the first boy I was ever crazy about. My first best friend. My first kiss. My first champion.
The first boy to ever pick me flowers, hold my hand when I was scared, sit for hours and let me put my head on his shoulder, the first boy to ever give me his sweater when I was cold, and the boy I have measured all other boys by since.
He was an awesome boy with awesome qualities and I have to say THANK YOU Hedley for writing a song that makes me remember him. :)

Turkey Sausage Soup
{Post 64/365: Original Post: FatCatMomma's Fave Fare}
We had a package of turkey sweet italian sausage in the freezer and some different bags of Europe's Best vegetable mixes and s I decided to make a nice soup for dinner.
I went searching for a recipe to start as my base and I made substitutions where I needed to and the end resul was this recipe:
- Fill pot with water.
- Add 2 cans of tomato paste.
- Add 1/2 cup of salsa.
- Add one bag of Europe's Best Nature's Balance vegetables (or veggies you prefer).
- Bring all to a boil...THEN...
- Cut sausage into medallions and brown in fry pan. Add to pot.
- Add one cup of uncooked pasta (elbows or shells).
- Cook till pasta softens. Serve.
Try it and let me know if it is something you liked!
I'm not a fan of either spinach or asparagus which are both in that bag of veggies but even I have to admit the soup is delicious and good for you! ;)

Lilacs
{Post 63/365: Original Post: KD Bissonette on Triond}
I wish I were purple
Like lilacs in bloom
And I dream of dancing in the rain
I am love and compassion
I used to be afraid to share
But now I am trying to be open
I seem to have low days sometimes
But I'm really trying to be positive
Like lilacs in bloom
And I dream of dancing in the rain
I am love and compassion
I used to be afraid to share
But now I am trying to be open
I seem to have low days sometimes
But I'm really trying to be positive

This is the Poem That...
{Post 62/365: Original Post: KD Bissonette on Triond}
This is the poem that delights
in the bright shining sunlight
that amuses my soul
because the sun is a giggle
because it sparkles and glitters
in the bright shining sunlight
that amuses my soul
because the sun is a giggle
because it sparkles and glitters
And when joy fills your heart
your spirit and energy vibrates with it
your spirit and energy vibrates with it
this is the poem that shares
heart and spirit and sunshine
like the first spring crocus popping out of the ground or a babys first smile

Dawn
An old english name meaning "the first appearance of light; daybreak"
Written in latin is Aurora
