Miss Moochie
has a sense
for days when I am
resting in bed
from pain
or sickness
and always
asks to come in
with me
sometimes
just sleeping
at the foot of the bed
my companion for the day
but sometimes
coming closer
for a sweet little cuddle
and
this way
she always brings me
comfort
is it
pain
or
loneliness
or
sickness
that brings her to me
I don't know
but I am aware that
in these times
she CHOOSES
to be with me
when I need her
even if I don't
acknowledge that truth
