late night
yawn after yawn
legs twitching
body aching
kidney twinges
eyes burning
can't wait
head on the pillow
covers pulled up tight
snug in my cozy bed
sinking into
sleeptime
dreamland
and hoping tonight
will be dreamless
(bad dreams lately)
